Castrol Honda chooses Australia to prepare for the Superbike championships

Castrol Honda tested its vehicles in Australia ahead of the World Superbike championships, which begin at the end of the month.

Those with motorbike insurance may be interested to note the team blew out any cobwebs from their bikes and exercised their wheels on Phillip Australia down under.

This comes ahead of an official test, between February 21st and 22nd, followed by the opening round of the championship season on February 25th-27th.

Rider Jonathan Rea said everything felt good yesterday (February 16th), although he lost a bit of time on the track today because of a slight injury.

He added: "I hurt my neck a bit but the paramedics insisted on putting me in a brace and taking me to hospital where it took about four hours to get a scan."

But Rea - who is from Northern Ireland - pointed out everything was fine and he is keen to test the bike again on Monday.
