Foret and Marino 'impress' in Ten Kate test

Bike insurance seekers might be pleased to see both Fabien Foret and Florian Marino have impressed the Ten Kate Honda team in their two-day World Supersport test at Phillip Island.

Foret - who won the World Supersport championship in 2002 with the brand - managed a best lap time of 1m33.904s, just 0.1 of a second away from the fastest ever World Supersport lap at the course.

It was 17-year-old Marino's first ever visit to the track, but he managed to improve his lap times and he completed his quickest time in 1m34.726s.

Following the test, Marino said he enjoyed riding on the track and pointed out he learned about it fairly quickly.

He added: "I went half a second faster without pushing too much and then followed Fabien with a new tyre and was able to do a quick lap, again without pushing so hard."

This comes after electronics company Hannspree revealed it is supporting the Ten Kate Honda World Supersport team this season.
